Statement of Financial Position (Desktop)
What it is: The balance sheet view in Draftworx Desktop, with built-in hyperlinks to notes and lead schedules, and editable descriptions that respect compliance requirements.
What it's for
The Statement of Financial Position (SoFP) is the core balance sheet statement in the AFS. Draftworx links each line item to its supporting note and lead schedule via blue hyperlinks, making navigation fast. Descriptions can be edited where the applicable standard permits, but the system protects compliance by alerting you when a description is locked to a specific standard requirement.
How to do it
Navigate to notes
- On the SoFP, click a blue hyperlink to jump directly to the relevant note or lead schedule.
Change a description
- Select the description on the SoFP.
- If the Checklist is referenced, do not change the description — navigate to the Checklist to read the relevant standard requirement.
- If the Checklist is not referenced, the description may be changed.
- If the formula references a Note_Header, change the description on the note heading (not on the SoFP directly): a. Use the note hyperlink to navigate to the note. b. Edit the Note Header as required. c. Navigate back to the SoFP — the description will have updated automatically.
